Monday's workout!!!
I died half way through my work out. Not sure why but I will put this one under the colum that there is always tomorrow. I did 3 mile repeats and 1.25 miles of warm up and cool down for a total of 4.25. There was a time that I would not dream of doing 4.25 miles and today it was an awful workout. Thats a good day.
What did you do?

i had to leave after an hour and 40 minutes at the gym today as well, i was just too tired and sore from yesterday's workout. i got in 60 minutes of weights (legs/core/crunches etc) and then 38 minutes on the stairmaster before i cried uncle....
Where are we going?? And why am I in this handbasket??
right now. somewhere. somebody is working harder than you.

Today was a 30-minute swim followed by 85 minutes of spinning.
With running 8 miles Saturday and 13 miles Sunday, I'm feeling like a rest day may be in order tomorrow.

Group bike ride -- 33 miles. I was determined to stay with the 'A' group, especially since none of the B groups regulars were there and we only had 7 total riders. With the wind I knew if I didn't stay with them it was going to be a hard ride. Well, they took off at the designated and I hung with them the first mile. They took a turn at the stop sign and I feel a little bit back. Well, the lead two guys decided to do a sprint and I was pulling 25.5 mph trying to get back to their wheels. I did as much I could to get back on their wheels but just wasn't able to do it. Hung back for a couple minutes and waited for the new guy to catch up and we worked together for the rest of the ride (20 miles or so). We ended up averaging 20.2. The A group had 5 guys and averaged 22 -- not much difference & had I been able to suck on their wheels I would've been fine I think.
Oh well, there's always next week.

Good job bro... One recommendation as you progress towards the longer distance Tri's... Don't get used to group rides, and maybe do away with them all together... If you do group rides, try not to draft.. there is no point... it's illegal in races and, as it has done with many in my tri club that ride in a friggin pelaton in training rides, they come to discover on race days that their own averages on the bike are about 1.5 - 2MPH slower than it was in training and they can't figure out why. My two cents, and either way, you're still the man!
