So I decided to see how far I could run.  I keep telling my running mates how do you know you can't if you don't try.  So tonight I decided to apply it to myself.  I did a 10k tonight in 68 minutes.  That is a record for me.  I have never run that far before.

Oh oh, now the distance training begins!  It's a lot of fun when you start pushing yourself to see how far you can get.  Nice time on that 10K -- just be steady in increasing your mileage and you'll realize 10 miles isn't much farther than a 10K, 15 miles isn't that much more than 10 miles, and then you'll have an easy time with that 1/2.
Way to go Scott!

That's awesome Scott!!  I have found that I enjoy running longer distances - it takes me a few miles to settle down.

Thanks everyone, now I just need to take it out of the gym and see if I can do it on the street.

Scott set your treadmill to a 1% grade to half-ass simulate pavement.    Great job on the 68 minute 10K man!  Keep it up!
