I FINALLY DID IT.
i weigh 249. 250 has been a major goal of mine. At times even recently it has seemed impossible to break, but i finally did. Thanks to you guys and the inspiration you have given me especially Chad and Dan, I am running 4-5 times a week. I am also in the process of starting a web site and blog. It is going to be called Team Daring Greatly or TDG. My brother has worked the past several weeks on an awesome design. It is based on a speech by Teddy Roosevelt that has been my guiding force of living a healthier life and not being afraid to be active even if I fail, because in the long run, I am going to win. Here is that speech.
It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.
My 1st major arena will be the Houston Marathon January 17, 2010. Thanks again to all of you who have been great inspiration to me. Last year this time I was 470 pounds and now I am living my life.

Great job Darrell! Congratulations on your success. Being a winner and a champion isn't about how many times you fall down. Everyone falls down. Being a champion is about how many times you GET UP!
I can promise you that crossing the finish line of your first marathon will certainly be an experience that you will cherish for the rest of your life. Enjoy your journey because it will all be well worth it come January 17th!

That's awesome bro.... You will do great. Be sure to progress slowly and let your body gradually adjust to the increase in distance. Add no more than 1 - 2 miles in distance to your workouts every 2 weeks and you will be fine. Best of luck in your journey, you will be an inspiration to many....
