Cold and Exercise?

OK so Ive had a cold for 3 days and i feel awful that i haven't been able to really workout, is there anything i can do to still try and get some exercise in the time being? This probably sounds like a crazy question, I'm just going mad not being able to do anything.

I did a 10k last thanksgiving with one of the worst colds I have ever had.  I undoubtedly walked more than half of it because I couldn't breath and I was just a water fountain of nasty fluids.

While I wouldn't recommend running like that, (had pre-reged and paid so I was going no matter what)  You can still go out and walk.  Which is mostly what i did after mile 1-2 on the 10k.  I know I get stir crazy when i'm sick.

I bought a package of the cloth baby diapers.  I carry one of those as a handkerchief or sweat rag.  they work real well.  That thing was a life saver on that 10k.

funny thing but i found that when i went to the gym with a cold, i stopped coughing and it cleared my breathing. mind you the tickle  in mt throat came back almost immediately after i got off the treadmill.
try doing something, it may feel better than you think!

An easy rule of thumb... If your cold is from the neck up, you are ok to work out usually. If it is in your chest, take some time off and rest and get well. IMHO...

Thanks guys! I went to the pool yesterday and did 70 Laps in 2 hours lol. But at least i did it :) Still have a cough but feeling a lot better!
