Hey Guys,

What another gorgeous morning here in Fort Worth!!!! Weather calls for mid 80's all week....The weather for this weekend's Tri calls for 65 and sunny at 7:30am when the race starts!!! Thank goodness, I am tired of freezing during these races.

Anywho, I swam this morning with the master's group and we had a VERY intense workout. Total was 3400 Meters and I was tired... 80-90% excertion the whole workout. It was awesome...

I will get in a 30-40 mile ride in this evening. What did you guys do today??

Way to go Dan.  Keep it up.

I went to the gym and stretched and tried some new core work.  When I go heavy, my hernia is starting to hurt.  I have to get it fixed before I really jump back into the heave weights.

Tonight will be a couple circuits on the weights.
I find the weight training even more boring that running on the hamster wheel (treadmill), so I set myself a couple little goals to help keep me motivated on the weights.
I want to do unassisted pullups, and I want to bench press my weight.
Right now I'm using 30 pounds of counter weight to help with the pullups, so I'm getting closer.  the bench press, no so close, but working on it.

Have a great workout everyone.

After my 3 mile run on the treadmill this morning, I ventured into the pool for 30 minutes.  And thus, the tri training begins.

did 35 minutes of weights (shoulders, bicep, and upper back), 30 minutes of spin for the first time, 30 minutes on the stairmaster, and then a 1600 meter swim (4 X 400 2 Breast, 2 Free) in 38-39 minutes.

I have to say i didn't like the bike, i couldn't get my heart-rate up to where i wanted it to be and it made my ass hurt!  I guess i'll have to get used to it if i want to make a go at Tri's.
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.

You can get a slip on gel cover for the bike seats at the gym.
I got one for the spin class, the seats in there were an ass killer.

The more saddle time you get in, the more you will get used to the seats.

Keep up the good work.

You should have chose a cycle that had a seat and not just a post!!!Just messin.... Get the gel covers, get some cycling shorts that have a nice Chamoise and get some body glide! You will be good to go. Good job getting in there and trying it...
