Tuesday workouts

I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday.

I started the day off with my first swim lesson.  I already knew that my upper body is weak.  My kick is also ineffective, but at least I finally took the plunge.

After the 30-minute lesson, I did my 4-miler on the treadmill at 80% effort (target heart rate 157 bpm).  I ran:

1 mile warm-up at 5.5 mph;
1 mile at 6.5 mph;
1 mile at 6.8 mph; and
1 mile at 7.0 mph.

It was a good run.

Wow!! Great workout, Cassie!

I did a 3 mile walk.  Yay for me, too!

I was a couple minutes late, but made to my spin class anyway knowing I'd be late.  I knew I wouldn't have a chance to get back to the gym later in the day, so I was proud of myself for going anyway.

I had an awesome run. For the first time I covered a 5K while running the whole way! I'm up to 37 min. of running at time and that was enough to get 3.1 miles in.

Now I have to work on doing 4 miles. (That's what my first tri covers.)

I got to the gym at 10 pm this evening and just did 1 1/2 spin on my own. I think that got out the remaining Lactic Acid from the marathon this past weekend. Take care....

Had a number of things to do at home so managed to take a walk around my neighborhood for about 1/2 hour.

Had a busy day today, but it was a good one for me.

Despite not yet being over my cold, I went to the gym and worked out with my trainer. It wasn't the best workout ever, but I was proud of not canceling!
