Hi All,

I'll get things started today....

My training plan called for longer fast-paced intervals today.  I ran 5 miles on the treadmill, including (2) 1-mile repeats at an 8:30 pace.   This is the fastest I've ever ran a mile, so I was pretty excited to be able to do two of them.

I had the 2nd week of my 4 week swim clinic. I'm still the slowest one in the pool but my stroke has improved so much.

We did a bunch of drills to help with our stroke including swimming with tennis balls in our hands!

I swam about 1800 m (give or take, sometimes I lose count) in about 1.5 hours.

Great job Cassie!  It's cool to have those days.

There was a special 2-hour spin class today that I did.  Great fun, great workout.  We rewarded ourselves with latte's and fruit at the end.

Rained all day today, so I was forced to do 8 mile treadmill run in about 90 min.

Took Linn's advice and started upping my carbs, felt pretty good throughout the run, was able to keep 5.5 MPH pace, then 6 MPH the last 20 min, which I'm usually not able to do on the tail end of a long run.

Gonna see how this diet change will affect my training this upcoming week

No running yesterday after the 12 miles on Saturday.  Instead did 40 minutes (10 miles) on the stationary bike at the Y.
