Lady Who "Swam" Across The Atlantic Was Bogus........

See this link. Appearently of the 2,400 miles it would take to swim the ocean, she swam 250 of it. Still pretty good, but no where near what the tabloids were claiming.

That sucks ass.
I hate it when they lie about stuff like that.
But it wasn't just the enquirer type tabloids, the initial story was reported by AP

OH well 250 miles is still pretty good, averaged more than 10 miles per day.

My son and I spoke about this with another athlete yesterday morning at a local 5K. It was Jim Dreyer. He told us about a few times he was misquoted by AP. It's too bad stupid mistakes by others can become a yolk for decent people. Jim was incredibly human and personable. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Dreyer
