Good Morning Guys,

I hope everyone is well this beautiful morning. I wanted to get out and run 17 or so this morning, but with 23-25 mph winds I thought I'd pass, besides I have a 20 miler on Saturday morning. So... Here is what I did instead:

Swam 2000 Meters in 35:35

Ran 5 miles in 44:21

Climbed 110 flights of stairs on Stairmaster at level 10 for 20 minutes

about 20 minutes of stretching and a 15 minute soak in the sauna. I hope you all have a great day and I look forward to hearing what you all did today...

UPDATE: Tonight was so nice I had to go for a run....  3.3 miles in 26:00 on the nose

Well I figure out that I suck at setting my own workouts, I can't seem to self motivate, and I am constantly clock watching to see if I am done yet.  I might not even be tired, but I guess I'm bored.

so I went back to a pre-set program.
I decided to do the c25k program again, I also found a web site that has a bunch of pod casts that were created for the c25k program.  http://www.c25k.com/
This time I am striving for 10 minute miles.
The last time I did it, I was doing 12 minute miles.

So workout #1 was completed today

Then I thought well hell if I can use this for running, maybe I can use it for biking as well,
so I hit the stationary bike and did the program again on the bike.

The first time you do something - It's going to be a personal record!

40 minutes on the treadmill walking (rates vary between 3.5 and 4.2 MPH) and inclines ranging from 2 to 11.

36 minutes on the elliptical resistance from 7 to 10.

30 minutes weights (chest, tri day)...
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.

I got nothing today. It was raining pretty hard today during my lunch hour, and was afraid I'd melt... haha

I guess I will call today my day off, instead of Friday

Welcome to the daily workout thread McArthur . . .

Today was my speedwork day, too.  I ran a total of 5 miles including warm-up, cool-down and
1 mile @ 5.8 mph (10:20)
1 mile @ 6.5 mph (9:13)
4(400 m repeats)@ 8mph (7:30) with 200 m rest intervals
1 mile @ 5.8 mph (10:20)

I followed up with stretching and my core work.

I got a lot of satisfaction pulling this workout off today since it was my 6th day in a row running without a rest day.

Hi Everyone!!

It was 68 degrees here in NJ this afternoon!  I got a nice 4 mile run in.  I also developed a blister on the top of the middle toe - WTH?!?  I've been running in these shoes for 2 weeks, and I get a blister today - very strange!!
