Check out this site.  Might be exciting to get a team together (maybe 2010) of gastric bypass runners.  I don't even know if I know 12 runners.

So it looks like a team of 12 each run about 18 miles divided into 3 legs each... So 3 10Ks in one day... Not bad..  I would be down for this.

Cool concept.  I might just have to join y'all for this historic journey.

. Is there a special way to train for a relay?

Yes. Get in a van with five other smelly people, crank up the iPod and drive around for about 24 hours and then you should be ready! As for the running part, from our experience, you need to be in better shape than the typical 10K racer, but not in as good shape as a marathoner.

If it's two weeks after Easter like it is this year it would be on the 17th and 18th in 2010.  You can definitely count me in.  I have wanted to so something like this and I love the historic aspect of this one.

If it would be feasible to go east during the school year, I think it would be great fun.  I'm far enough west it may be tough, but if planned well, I think it could be worked out.
