My 5k report.

Just in, my 5k results from yesterday.  I finished in 33:18 it was an unchipped race & I started a good way from the start line.  My previous 5k on Jan. 3 was 34:55 and that was a chip  time so I did improve my time.  I talked my husband into running it with me yesterday and he does it in 24:06 his very first race so he's hooked now.  He even wanted to stay around and watch the half marathoners finish which was exciting.  I did well yesterday and only stopped briefly once to stretch because I felt a cramp coming on.

Congratulations Vicki,

With the 5K races, trimming off more than a minute is a great accomplishment.  In a month's time, you went from a 11:14 pace to 10:43!  Wow!

It's cool that you've inspired your husband to start racing.  My husband is a runner too, so for us races are our social outtings.  It's a good time.

Hey Vicki, great job!

You've made such great improvements since you first started.  I'm proud of you!

Fun to get the hubby into it also.  Mine will never.  Not a bit interested in running, but that's okay.  He's usually a good support person.
