what kind of strength/weight training?

Okay so I'm 4 months post-op with lap band.  I am down from 334 to 262.  I am exercising a minimum of 60-90 minutes daily at least 5 days per week...usually my elliptical or occasionally the treadmill.  I want to add some strength training, but the nearest gym is 35 minutes away.  I posted this on the lap band board too, but what's a good way to get started that is relatively inexpensive?  Resistance bands?  videos? hand weights?

Denise,

There's a basic home-based strength training program outlined here:  www.obesityhelp.com/forums/fitness/cmsID,8431/mode,content/ that uses resistance bands, hand weights and your own body weight.  It's an easy, inexpensive way to get started with strength training.

Awesome.  I printed it off and will pick up some hand weights and resistance bands and get to work.  Thanks a bunch.
