I'm Back (and a Question, Please HELP!)

Hi everyone! It's been awhile since I've been here, i've been working on increasing my endurance and such.&

I finally started running last week and I am up to 2 miles a day on the treadmill, it's a slow 2 miles (3.9 MPH which currently takes me 30:59 to run). I also starting taking an hour long spinning class once a week which is kicking my butt but in a good way, LOL

My question is that I gained 3 pounds in the last 2 weeks ~ my eating has not changed (I'm 6 months post-op) so I'm guessing that this is muscle mass?

I'm kinda freaked out about it, please help!!!!!

The  more likely culprit is water.  When you increase your workouts, the muscles often retain water for a while.   This, too, will pass.

Hi again!!! Thanks for the info! How long should I expect it to last? I am up 4 pounds now and it's messing with my head ~ I am planning to start taping myself daily to see if I can notice changes there instead of scale.

Any other advice? All is welcome!
