2009 Race Plans
Hi everyone!
I am new to your fitness boards and one of my resolutions was to participate in both runs AND a forum to support exercise!!
I had RNY in July and 8 weeks later I particpated in (AND FINISHED) the Expedition Everest Challenge in Orlando... basically a 5k, an obstacle course and a scavenger hunt. Granted, the entire event took me an hour and 28 minutes, and I walked a lot of it, but I plan to do it again in 2009 and radically improve my time and run the entire course!
I am starting the couch to 5k program, but I live in a hilly area so I am planning to crank up the treadmill from walk to run to start out.
Anyway... I plan to add events to my 2009 calendar as I improve and train! Any tips people can offer me are gladly accepted!
