Saturday Workouts - last race of 2008

Hi Everyone!
This morning I ran my last 5K of 2008.  Holy Crap - it was COLD!!  I think it was 29 degrees at race time!  It was an uneventful race for me - a little slower than I would have liked - I think I came in at 34:15 - not my fastest, but I'll take it - LOL!!  I did get my pictures with Santa though!!

Cute pic with Santa!  Great job on your last race of the year.  I ran my first 5 miler without stopping to walk, not even once, I completed it in 58 minutes.

I stayed nice and warm inside . . .

1-hour spin class
2-hour run (about 11 miles)

It'll be another early night.

It was still fun, right?  Thanks for sharing the pic.

Mine was an 8-miler.  It was to be a tempo-type run, but I did it as a ladder.  It was plenty hard this way, and I did more miles faster.  Great run!

1 mile at 7.0
1.5 miles at 6.9
2 miles at 6.8

I did a 12 mile run today.  Finished in 3:35.  Still can't believe I did 12 miles.

That's awesome Lola!!  I am taking next week off, then I am starting a new training program to buildup mileage.  I hope I will be posting about my long runs soon!!

Great pic !

I did my longest run to date. 18.5 miles, 19 witht the .5  walk after. 3:10 minutes for the running part. Was only suppose to do 16 but was having a great day and intended to try 20 miles. At 18 miles, legs were really tight and ran out of steam, didn't want to risk injury so for once listened to my body. NO CRAMPS !! Next weeks long run will probably be shorter then go for the 20 the week after that.
