I DID IT

Today I did something I have never done in my entire life.  I ran a mile.  It wasn't fast -- only 4.2 miles an hour according to the treadmill but I ran the whole thing.  Even as a reasonably athletic kid, I couldn't have run a mile.  But today, 6 1/2 months after my RNY, I DID IT!!!!
I'm so proud of myself.

That is so awesome! I am so happy for you! Before you know it you will be running 2 miles...then three... etc. Way to go!

That is awesome.  I started jogging at 4.2 too.  It's amazing how the body adapts and changes...in no time you will become faster.  Keep up the heart motivation!!

Those milestones are cool!  I was a sprinter when young and never thought I'd be able to run either.  Now that I can, it's hard to remember when I couldn't!

You're doing great!  Keep up the good work, and enjoy every new thing you can do.  Eventually it will all be commonplace (you'll be able to do anything) and it won't be so exciting, but you can still make it challenging.
