What you do recommend?
I went from sedentary to working out in an aqua cardiac program 3-4 times ( 1 hr each) a week. I did my first step aerobics class last Saturday. ( mixed with a little strength training). I bought a bike a few weeks back and rode this a couple of times when the weather allows.
I'm new to this thing called exercise. I'm 55 with painful joints. What do you recommend. I just want to be moving and burning calories. I don't think I could ever run a marathon. I just want to be healthier. I would love some advise from the pros......
Thanks in advance

I'm not a pro by any stretch of the imagination, but a lot of what you're doing now is great!
Water is great for the joints, and as long as you can keep your heart rate up, it wil be excellent cardio. Biking is also good. You might try spin or studio cycling classes if the gym offers them. They're also great cardio that is pretty easy on the knees as long as you don't put the tension too high. Ellipticals are good low-impact cardio exercise also.
I'm not sure if you've thought about it, but yoga is good toning and flexibility training.
More often than not, the more you move the less your joints hurt, so I think it's wonderful you're out there starting a good exercise program. Variety is the spice of life, so try finding a few things you like to do.
That's my nickle.
