It was a cold and damp day but it was a great run. It was my first 8K, I have done several 5Ks. I was hoping to finish in 55 minutes, but I surprised myself and did 48:36. It was the first time they had done the race and from what my hubby told me they were having problems getting the time clock working right, when I came in it said 1:48:36 I thought oh my God I couldn't have run that slow. There was a good turn out for the first time. I got 1st Place in my age division (50-59). I was really pleased.

Thanks everyone. I have really surprised myself, I never thought I would doing races let alone placing in them. They gave us coffee mugs for awards. This was the first year they have done this race so I think money was a little tight.
