I only have 2 suggestions for you Scott.

Eat more.

Run first. 

Make your run workouts strictly run workouts.  I know you want to do bricks for tris, but I'd like to see you get some substantial runs in before you try too many bricks since that's really your weakness.  Do your weight training on days you bike or swim or after you run if it's not feasible.

I just read part of an ongoing article on someone beginning a running routine, and it takes a while before you're going to see any real progress.  I guarantee it's going to suck for a while before you ever get to the point where you say, "Wow, that one felt great!"

PS it's also important to eat right after.  I've found that really helps my subsequent workouts.
