On sunday I participated in the fall colors 5k which took place on what was described as a rolling course. I finished in 29:29.8. I was very pleased with that. My first 5K was back on April 20th and my time was 35:20.

I would not call 29:29 fast but it it definately shows some progress.

Nice job, Jon!  Anything under 30 minutes is pretty darn good.

By the way, a 6-minute improvement is HUGE!!!!

You've done fabulously!

I'm with Linn, six minutes is a huge difference in a fairly short amount of time. Way to go! Careful though these races can get addictive, especially when you are seeing big improvements.

Way to go Jon.  It might not be fast by the winners standards but it is definitely not slow.  Any time you eclipse the mighty 10 minute per mile mark, you are doing alright.  Keep up the good work.

thanks for all the positive words!

More importantly thanks for walking the walk and being positive examples. It is definately makes it easier to stay on track when I see everyone here striving toward and reaching there goals.
