Now - I know I'm not ready for a marathon or anything that big but - as a former sloth - this is BIG BIG stuff in my life:

Most of the time when I walk on my lunch break I do so by myself and listen to my Ipod. Well - today a co-worker walked with me. Keep in mind we haven't walked together since late Spring. The last times that we walked - I'd make one or two laps - couldn't carry on conversation because I was out of breath and would have to sit out a lap or so because my legs were killing me.

Today I set the pace - we both talked our heads off and when she was ready to come back in I challenged for another lap - and we did it.

This is a major WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Iris, it's those kind of "wow" moments that give testament to the decisions we made to have surgery and pursue a more active lifestyle.  With each step, we regain the ability to live our lives more fully.  Congratulations on the progress you've made.
