Do anyone wear one of these during the day or during workout?  I have heard someone at the community center talk about one while I was working out.

Any brand recommendations?

Sorry, I don't use ANY techie things like that, but am thinking about getting a heart rate monitor.  Not so much for calorie counting but for improving fitness and workouts.

But in all actuality, if you're exercising regularly, isn't that all that really matters?  If I read it right, your surgery in in December.  At this point, just getting in the habit of doing regular exercise will do you more good than worrying about anything else.

I have been exercising 3-4 times a week for a year now.
Thanks!
