Thanksgiving cycling (multi-day)

I've got a voucher for a plane ticket anywhere in the US and time off around Thanksgiving. I can actually take off that whole week and both weekends. So far the only ride I've found is http://www.lawheelmen.org/rides.htm#multiday I've got relatives in LA so lodging would work out but I could handle camping, hostels or even hotels really. In theory I shouldn't need that if I'm on a multi-day ride right? The longer the better. Elevation is okay but I'll whine a lot since I'm used to nearly sea level here. I'd like something scenic, none race more tour oriented. New Orleans would be cool or really anywhere in the south where it's warm (it was 40F this morning I'm still cold from this morning's ride). Heck I'd almost be up for riding alone if anyone has a route or positive suggestion. Any ideas greatly appreciated. Thanks
