Bicycle trainer

Has anyone used one of the bike trainers that you can use to mount your road bike to.

I was considering getting one for the upcoming winter months.  I'd like to get more saddle time on my bike.  The stationary bikes at the gym just don't feel the same as sitting on my bike.

Any suggestions or recommendations?

Thanks

Scott

I used one years ago.  It was alright, I was always afraid it would come undone and I'd go thru the wall.

I've had a cycleops fluid 2 trainer for a few years! Even in the summer I used it at least once or 2x a week. Get a fluid over a magnetic...quieter!

Scott I have a trainer.  It helps to have one handy when the weather sucks or it's really cold outside.   Take Sherry's advice about the fluid over magnetic if you do get one.   I went the cheaper route and got a magnetic and it's monsterously loud.   I can't hear my television over it when I ride in front of the tube.
