Thankfully it wasn’t to hot this year, the high was only in the upper 90’s. The ride started at 7 am and as far as the eye could see for 8 blocks there was nothing but bikes waiting to ride. Over 10,000 people this year started, and just a little over 7 hours and 100 miles I was riding across the finish line. Tired and cramping the only thing I wanted to do was get in the fire hose that the kids were running through to cool off.  Next thing ya know there’s a bunch of cyclist playing in the water. Thanks to all my friends for keeping in touch and all the support.

Great job!

I figure I'll do a long ride one of these days, but since I just barely got my bike, I'm thinking it'll be a while.

Sounds like you had a great time!

Congrats!!!

You either cramped because you were:
1. Dehydrated
2. Didn't take enough electrolytes
3. Didn't eat enough to fuel your body.

Woot! What's next on your list of "to-do's?"
