Weight Training for 5k

Hey All,
I am currently trainin for a 5k, I am wondering what you do for weight training? I currently do a circuit training regime 2-3 days a week and run the other 4-5 days a week. Just would like to know what has worked for you.

I lift 3X a week now down from 5X a week before getting heavy into triathlon training.   Usually I will do chest on Mondays, Back / Shoulders on Wednesdays and Arms on on Fridays.  Burning out my legs on weights hurts my swim, bike AND run so I avoid doing them for the most part.  If on the rare occasion I do legs I always do light weight and high reps.

Hello there Kim!  It sounds like you have a good routine going!  I lift weights 3 days per week.  I run 3-4 days per week and I also take a kick boxing class 2 times per week.  Sometimes I throw a Spin class or the elliptical in there to spice things up.  --Deanna  :)
