p90x I remember someone posting something about the p90x workout.
I was wondering if this is something that can be started by a blob like myself, or if it expects you to be in shape to begin with.

I have a friend who has the program, but he has never used it, and he is going to be giving it to me.

Is it worth trying?  Do they have different methods of doing the exercises?

Thanks

Scott

Hello Scott,
There are two things that caught my attention when I visited the P90X website.

1. One of the first things they say is "Get absolutely ripped in just 90 days."

2. The also say, "The secret behind the P90X system is an advanced training technique called "Muscle Confusion," which accelerates the results process by constantly introducing new moves and routines so your body never plateaus, and you never get bored! Whether you want to get lean, bulk up, or just plain get ripped, there's an endless variety of ways to mix and match the routines to keep you motivated the full 90 days and beyond!."

Generally speaking, anytime you hear language such as this applied to strength and conditioning programs, it's more of a sales job than anything else.

How you approach a conditioning program depends highly upon your current level of fitness and your personal goals.

This is one I would stay away from....but that's just my two cents.
