Sunday exercise

Well looks I will take charge of todays exercise thread. So what did everyone do today, even though its Sunday, and the Olympics is on TV?

I did 9 miles this morning. It's amazing how much better I am getting with my running ever since reading the Jeff Galloway book. Ever since I switched to spending more time running/biking, and not just looking at mileage my endurance has been so much better.

It looks like I am right on track for my first Half Marathon in October. My next triathlon is just 2 weeks ago. Wish me luck...

Now everyone, let us all know what you did today.

Did 8 miles today.  Really taxed my quads by mile 5.  Guess I shouldn't have started out on fire (ran first 2 miles at sub 10 minutes).  But finished in 1:23:36.  So still good time for me.

Since my long run was yesterday, I just did a little 3 mile recovery run today after CPR class.  Felt awful when I started, but good by the time I was done.  I guess that's what recovery runs are for...

I did a 2.2 mile Fartlek because my hips were still tight from my Saturday LR.

Hey Scott,

Good to know I'm not the only one who gets tight hips after the long runs.  That's the only thing that seems to bother me.

I rode my bike 28.4 miles from Venice Beach to the Redondo Beach Pier and back to the Santa Monica Pier.
Without struggle, there is no progress.
