Thursday Training

I really enjoyed my run today.  My training partners and I decided to start introducing speed work into our training program and today was our first go at it.  After a 1 mile warm-up, we tried to hold every other block at a 6 min/mile pace for the last 2 miles.  I felt like I was flying.  I just have to learn how to breathe the air instead of gulp it.  I felt like I was inflating by gut instead of my lungs.

Good job, Cassie!

Today was my brick day - spin class then 4 miles.  It was a rough run so I didn't use the incline, but I kept the speed at 6.9 for the first 3 and ended the last with 7.0 for half mile then 7.1 to finish.  I figure I'm pretty well trained for my next tri, so I'm excited to see how it ends up.

I am so jealous - I have bronchitis, so I've had to lay off the running for the last two weeks .  It amazes me how much I miss it!  I am feeling a little better, so I am hoping that I can go out for a little run on Saturday.  Hopefully I can get back to posting my workouts with you all!!
