Too early to start working out?

Hello, my name is Claudia.  I had my WLS on July 17th.  It was the Gastric Bypass.  My first appointment with my surgeon was on Monday.  I asked him if it was ok to start working out.  He said yes.  I am currently enrolled to Curves.  Anyone familiar with it?  Today was the first time I went after surgery and I took it easy.  I'm still kind of worry if it is too early to start working out or not.  Has anyone of you done something like that?  I want to be able to start exercising as soon as possible because it took me a month and a half prior surgery to get use to a exercise routine.  I don't want to lose that.
Help please!!!

If your Dr. says it ok then you should be fine. I did'nt do any weights for 5-6 weeks. I started walking about 3-4 weeks out!!

Best wishes!!

My surgeon said six weeks. No heavy lifting or working out. Walked all I wanted to.
