Conquered my 1st 10k!

Congratulations on a great race.  The race I did yesterday had a weird set up.  They had places for various paces to line up - 6 min, 7, 8, 9, 10 and then the next block said walkers.  I've got to believe that there were hundreds of people (me included) that were going to run and not run a 10 min mile.  Also, the signs were so close together that with over 1000 people, there's no way everyone could fit in the right place - even if the right place existed.  I love seeing kids run, but there were some erratic ones there - they'd whip right around you and then stop and look back for their parent.  I almost took one out (accidently - of course).

Anyhow, great job - I'm looking forward to some day working up to a 10k.

Yea that's exactly the same setup I encountered.  It seemed though that even people that were gonna walk ended up in the early starting places or even jumping on the course later on. 

The next 10k i do will be smaller, so will see how that one is organized.
