Whew, I made it!

Wanted to finish under 40 minutes and I came in at 39:44.  My first glimpse of the clock was at 39:30 and I was able to summon a burst of speed to come in under 40.

Posted a photo on my profile.  I was smiling at the end.  http://www.obesityhelp.com/photos/uzone,photos/action,galler y/albumId,53912/curPhoto,327726/

Thanks for tips, stories, sharing.  I may do another one in two weeks.  It is in conjunction with the MN Irish Fair and not only do you get a t-shirt, you get a beer.

Take care.

Great job Jenny!  I really need to start training for the one I am doing in Sept.  I did one in March and it felt so good.  I went into that one just wanting to finish.  I did have to take some walking breaks, but really didn't train for it like I should have.  My time was 36 mins.  My goal for the one in Sept is to run the entire time.  Keep up the great work!!!

AWESOME JOB!!!

Congrats on a great race.  A free beer would get me there even though I don't drink.  Free stuff works for me.

Great job!  It si really fun when you see that clock from a distnace and you start to realize that maybe, just maybe you can beat that time.  It really does pump up the adrenaline.  Congratulations and good luck on the next one.  The great thing about these races is that you don't have to worry about about buying t-shirts anymore.

No kidding about the t-shirts.  This race was great because the shirt was a poly moisture-wick blend.  No cotton for this girl.

Thanks,

J
