ZUMBA anyone?

Hello All,

I am 10 days post op (Lap RNY).  I had been walking everyday.  Today I happened to get a burst of energy - strange because I have felt sooo darn tired since surgery.  I did receive my B12 injection last night.  Could the 2 be related?

Anyhow....  Pre-op when I had no desire to show my body in a gym full of gorgeous people, I came across ZUMBA.  Since I absolutely love to dance, this exercise regime looked so FUN!

My question is...  when is it safe to start a more vigorous for of exercising such as ZUMBA.  From what I have read, ZUMBA does not involve lifting weights.  Just a bunch of people dancing around to great music and burning calories.

Thanks for you input,
Cathy

I'm not an expert, but it seems that 10 days post-op might be a little soon for Zumba.  You should ask your surgeon what his/her guidelines are for starting exercise.

Definately check with your surgeon.  Mine would only allow me to walk for the first 6 weeks.

Good luck!
