Training Bonus

There is a practical side to training!
My car died yesterday  so I had to bike to work today (8 miles.)  Thanks to the 5k training I have been doing the past 8 weeks, it was not horrible!

Ah well.  Vacation starts tomorrow, so I can be in denial about how I am going to fund a new car for another week.

That sucks!!  Bright side - isn't it wonderful that you could bike to work???  That probably wouldn't have been an option prior to your surgery.

Funny, we ended up getting a new to us truck on Monday because we have 2 dead ones and really do need a truck.  I was just happy to get the financing!

I live in a city that is pretty pedestrian and bike friendly, so I walk to the grocery store a lot and will be able to bike to school a lot of times once school starts.
