I went to the gym today and stretched for 15 minutes.  My back is still killing me from moving rocks a week ago.  I couldn't do anything else. Went to the chiropractor but had to leave and get my son off the bus after I waited 25 minutes. Oh well.  There is always tomorrow.

Scott, I feel your pain!  All the time I spent in the car the past 2 weeks made it hard to run until yesterday.   I did a spin class this morning.  Not doing anything else because me legs are still tired from yesterday's run.  Al least they aren't sore.   Linn

I commuted home this morning from work which is 13 miles. It's a good little bike ride, with quite a few hills for being southern Michigan.

Just got back from a 4 mile run. As many of you know, I have been having some feet/heel pain. Last week I was fitted for some orthotics, in hopes of fixing my deformed feet. Well I jumped the gun and went out and bought some from Meijers. They seem to help when wearing my work boots, but hurt alot when running in them.

Well today, I decided to run in my new shoes without the inserts. What a difference that makes. I think I can pick up with my training now.

What a great group of people..

Week two, day three of my walk to run program.  Since I was up at 4:00 am (don't know why) I got my work-out in earlier rather than later today,  Three sets of walk 2 minutes/jog 4 minutes.  Happy to say that I did 'em all and could have kept going.  That 5K on 7/26 is looking more do-able every day. Scott - I used to live in Groton and then Colchester from 1991 - 1999!  But I'm a MN girl, so when the chance came to come home I took it.  Loved CT tho. Take care. J

Of course the 5K is do-able!  You will beat it with no issue. Yeah, I am off 214 so I'm right in the middle of the casinos.  I, myself am a NY guy but as much as I would love to, I can't see myself going back.  Too much stuff holding me here.

I did a 2 mile run this morning.  Although short, I am already feeling the affects of taking my iron pills.  A little bit more energized. Kim

I was wondering how you were doing, Kim.  I'm glad you're starting to feel a little better.   Linn

Thank you Linn.  Maybe with the iron in me, I will be able to increasing the running segment every two weeks. Kim

Wednesday I did a fast one-hour spin class (maximum turn).  One large bucket of sweat and I think I even rusted the bike.   Today I just got back from a 4-mile run.  There is no other option than running outside.  Had to slow down at one intersection for the traffic, but the rest of the run was constant.  Tomorrow I get to see my physical therapist.  Saturday is a 5k race.  First one in a couple of weeks.  Sunday anotther river run.  Just finished registering fo rthe Virginia Beach Rock n' Roll Half-Marathon in September.  Still debating on whether I will do the Philadelphia Half in November, since I need to be working up to my longer runs in November and December.  January is still the Disney marathon.   My current training plan is to plan on 7-mile long runs in June, 9-mile (July), 11-mile (August), 15 (October), 18 (November), 20 (December).  I also have to figure out how to get in at least one century per month.  After I get done with my marathon in 2009, I would like to figure out what I want to do when I grow up.  Just too many fun activities and not enough time to do all of them.
