Okay, today I increased mi miles by 10 miles and it is was a little more humid and hotter then last week. I got light headed and fell out. Went to the hospital and was told that I was dehydrated. After two IV’s I am feeling a lot better. I am training for a century ride in august, ho do you hydrate for such a long ride?

I am by no means an expert, but I will give you my 2 cents worth. Hydrating is not just about drinking during the ride. It starts with gettin plenty of fluid before the ride, probably even 24 hours before hand.

So be sure your drinking all the time, and then drink thru out your bike ride. If you anything like me, you sweat alot during a ride, so be sure to replace much of that.

Try a camel back or attach multiple cages to your bike so you always have plenty of fluid.

Hope this helps, and be safe while riding..
