My little baby toes are KILLING me after my 10 mile run today.  Thank goodness the pain didn't set in until mile 9 but that last mile was excrutiating.  I came home to find huge blisters on my baby toes that cover the entire toe!  What the heck do I do to prevent this???  I wear the appropriate socks from my running store that cost me a fortune and I love them!  But what else can I do to help prevent those pesky blisters??? --Deanna  :)

Oh you poor thing - how on earth did you manage to run that last mile with painful toes?   So how did the rest of the run go?  I take it you ran the whole way and got through it all?  Good for you, you are fantastic Deanna.  How did you feel when you ran through the finish line (other than glad your toes wouldn't hurt anymore)?

Deanna, How are your sneakers holding up?  Are you still getting the proper support from them?  Luckily I haven't had a problem with blisters, but I've heard you might want to try petroleum jelly .  Good for you on pushing through that final mile, sounds like it was pretty bad. Mary

The blister block sticks are pretty good at preventing blisters on the long runs.  Band-Aid  has one (https://www.bandaid.com/couponBlisterBlock.jsp) as does Body Glide (http://www.bodyglide.com/).  The friction between my little toe and the adjacent toe gives me blisters, so I have to make sure to put the blister blocks between my toes. I have that problem on my big toes and I use the blister blok rub stuff Cassie referred too.  It works.  Since you got them already though, maybe some moleskin till they heal.  Good job on the distance. That is awsome.

Here's what you do.  Get these socks from injini.  They feel a little wierd at first but kind of like wearing a watch on the wrong wrist.  2 miles in, you won't even know you have them on. http://www.injinji.com/
