PLUS ANY ONE WITH IDEAS ON THE TYPE OF SURGERY THAT IS BEST FOR SOMEONE NEEDING TO LOOSE 100LBS OR LESS DEPENDING ON MUSCLE GAIN. ANY ADVICE WELCOMED
THANKS
I don't have any input on surgery type, but I was close to where you are now when I had surgery (RNY). I am also 5'5", currently weigh about 155 (150-155 is my normal range), and am very athletic. I wear a size 6-8 depending on the brand. I could maybe get down to 140 if I were that interested, but I do have a lot of muscle mass and am happy with how I look and what I am able to do. I've done 3 half marathons, a full marathon, a sprint triathlon, several 10k's and am training for another half marathon in June and triathlons in Aug and Sept. The actual weight you get to depends largely on your commitment to life changes. My BMI is still about 26, but I know I am more fit and less fat than many folks lighter than me and I am perfectly content with the exception of PS I would like to have. I don't know if I've helped, but that's been my experience.
