SO this is my 1st time writting on the fitness board and i was wondering. I just started going to the gym and all i do is the precor for  30 mis on an incline of 1-7, then i hit the sauna for 15 mins. is this an effective workout and if not any suggestions ?

I am assuming that the precor is a cardio machine.  It is a great start and more than most people are doing. If you have some more time, I would work in a little weight training.  More muscle mass means that you burn more calories at rest.  Most of the regulars here do at least 30 minutes of cardio 5 or 6 days a week and some much more.  I would call 30 minutes about the minimum for good cardio vascular fitness.  Keep up the good work.
