Southern California gyms

Hey everyone! I recently moved to Southen California and I am gym shopping.  Does anyone have advice on good gyms to go to? Here, in Long Beach there are 24Hr Fitness, LA fitness, Golds, Froggies, and Im sure others.  Which ones are good?  Im used to a local gym, not a chain.  I also mainly like the aerobics classes, but also the machines. I go to the Golds gym in Long Beach on Pine avenue. It a good small gym with some great classes. I'm sure if you ask you can get a week free pass to try different gyms to see which one you like the best!!
