Disney race report.

Money has always been an issue with me.  I try to go the cheapest easy route possible.  For me, that means staying on Disney property.  The Pop Century has served me very well for the last two years.  They have it figured out well enough that staying anywhere on property is easy.   If money isn't as much an issue, stay at a monorail hotel.  Polynesian, Contemporary or The Grand Floridian.  That way anyone that comes with you can spectate easily and you can ride the monorail over to Epcot.  That is the way to go. You are probably looking at $90 a night for the Pop or the All-Star's and $275 and up for the monorail resorts.   I have also enjoyed staying at the comfort inn Lake Buena Vista.  That is probably in the $60 range but I don't like to rent a car.  Getting to Epcot in the morning may be logistically tougher than staying on property.

I have been debating on 09.  I am pretty sure that I won't do the Goofy again.  I am thinking about the 5K and the half.  If there are going to be a few OH people that are going to be there I almost definitely will at least go and cheer on my people.  Good luck

Damn you Scott, I registered today, so now I really have to do it.  So it's the Disney Marathon in 2009.  I'll be 55 and 5 years out from RNY surgery so I should have a lot to celebrate.  Now I gotta get back to training. Rob

Good for you.  You will never regret it, even when the pain sets in.
