A little love from my newspaper

Here is a link to an article that a local newspaper did on me.  It only cost a bribe of $6,000 and lunch for a year.  I would say that the article is mostly correct with a few minor details that don't affect the content of the article.  I actually used to make fun of the runners in high school, not college but I am not sure I made that clear to the author.  I was a pretty serious thrower by college.  Anyway, enjoy.

You are the man as always!  Nice article.  I still think you are a little bit crazy to be doing the Goofy, but I guess someone has to do it.  I'm really looking forward to reading your exploits.  I've got my first 10-miler next Sunday, and I'm extremely apprehensive about finishing and the weather.  I'll let you know how I make out.  Keep running. Rob, I have no doubt that you will have a successful 10M debut.  That is the perfect distance for a longer race.  Just as it is about to get painful, it ends.   I will be there for the week after the race so my report will be slow comming.  I just pray that I can include a picture with three medals.

Awesome article Scott. Do you charge for autographs? That's how I pay off the bribes. Earl

Nice story Scott! Hey, what time do you advise catching the bus from Pop Century to the start Saturday?   I'm still postponing packing until Wednesday night.  Hopefully, then the forecasters will agree on what the weather might look like. Cassie

Are you at the Pop also!  Did I know that?  I am leaving around 3:40 or so.  I will look for you.  I will be one of about 50 people wearing a hideously bright safety colored shirt.   The weather is looking a little too warm for my liking.  Water on the course should not be an issue since they ran out last year.  I can't see them doing that twice.

Yes.  We'll be a Pop.  You just can't beat the price.  I'll look for you. My running partner decided she didn't want to dress up as a Disney princess, so I guess I'm leaving my Tinkerbell wings home.  Maybe next time.
