I have a pilates reformer but have only been on it a handful of times in the last year.  I've lost 109 lbs since my RNY Dec 28 06.  I really need to start exercising but hate it so so so bad.  Any thoughts or ideas to get me motivated.

Hi,   Try to find something you like to do to start out.  It does not need to be super intensive, just enough to get you more active to start.  If you can find a work out partner that will encourage you to workout also helps. Good luck

This is off topic but if I ever had to move,  Morehead, KY sounds like the perfect place for me. What do you like to do.  Walking or hiking are great.  Getting out and expoleing are fun.  You could also try geocaching which is where you look for stuff that other people leave behind using a GPS device.  That would get you out and about.  I personally like to go to a gym.  I could have the best home gym on the planet but would not use it.  Going to the gym gets me motivated.  If you like to shop, go to the mall and walk (careful with a transfer of addiction there!)

I am a big believer in getting out of the house to exercise.  I have purhcased and sold almost every piece of home gym equipment. over a twenty year span.  I finally decided it was cheaper just to buy clothes hanger which is what all the equipment always ends up being used for.   I actuallly commute over 40-minutes each way to my gym every day.  Luckily my commute to work is under 10-minutes.  The reason I go this gym, is because they offer such a variety of classes and stimulation.  The positive feedback you get in the classes should motivate you to show up for each class.  The instructors will help guide you, and even classmates will push you to excell and achieve things you never thought possible.  When you work out at home, you just have yourself to rely on, and some days you might not be your best motivator. The key is to keep moving in 2008.  Keep posting on Earl's daily workouts so we can start seeing your progress.  Good luck! Rob
