DH and I went to the fitness club this evening and worked out. It was great fun but man it was tiring. Being a newbie I don't think I did terrible considering the 30 minutes of cardio I did I kept my heart rate at 160-180 the whole time.  I had to slow it down a little because when it got up to 180 I started getting slightly lightheaded?? Anyone know what a good heart rate is and what is too high???

That is really high for your heart rate, probably at max for the intensity you should be working at. My max heart rate is suppose to be 169 and I can only sustain that for a short time before I feel like passing out! There is a calculator on OH that helps you calculate where your heart rate should be, check that out. http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/fitness/cmsID,2290/mode,co ntent/ Also, check out this article by the exercise expert here on OH - it gives you an idea of where you should be at and how to progress. http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/fitness/cmsID,2277/mode,co ntent/ I used it at the beginning and it really helped me get exercising in the correct zones. Hope this helps!
