Disney in two weeks and I am not prepared.

I have made no secret of the fact that I am going into Disney in two weeks under trained.  Today was supposed to be my 20 miler and the last long run before the Goofy Weekend.  Yesterday around noon I started to feel ill.  I have not been able to venture far from a bathroom since and I am dehydrated.  There will be no distance running today.  If I am better, I will have time to do about 13 on Wednesday.  Perhaps, I can hit a 13 miler next weekend.  There is no doubt that I will finish both races.  There is also no doubt that I will be dying the following Monday.  I will just take more and longer walk breaks.  The good news it that I really started being careful again of what I eat about a week ago and with the help of my sickness, I could be down 15 lbs or so.  That seems like a good trade off.  That is a lot of steps for 15 extra pounds. Thanks for listning to me *****

Thanks Kevin.  I will be sure to post a long and hideously boring report.

Good luck Scott. Sometimes the forced breaks are just what you need. I felt really good today and a little stronger after not working out since Wed. Earl

I guess that at this point, that is really the only thing that I can hang on to.  I needed the break.   I guess it will have to do.  Thanks

Hey Scott. You're working on regaining your focus in a lot of areas of your life right now. This will help you with the mental bit. Your goals are realistic. Finishing. You will not be upset if you don't get a PR time. You recognize that you haven't trained enough and I think that should be a huge help in maintaining expectations.  Go. Have a blast. Enjoy it for all it's worth. Don't waste time beating yourself up.

I have actually been getting excited the last few days.  I have been beating myself up for a few months now and now I am getting excited and dare I say a little giddy about the whole weekend.  Being that my marathon PR is pertty bad to begin with, I still wouldn't be surprised to come close even the day after a half.  Of course that would cut into me pictures with characters time.  Thanks

You'll do fine man.   I'm looking forward to reading your blog of the race and hopefully joining you next year if I can get in this time.  :)
