Second 5K report!

I did my 2nd 5k this morning and beat my previous time by almost 2 minutes!!  My time was 38:37.  It was in the 30's and a bit breezy, but I had my hat and gloves off pretty quickly.  I would have taken my vest off too, but didn't have a place to put it.  But something odd happened...yesterday we drove the route and there were a couple of little inclines.  Today, someone had added some more "hills"!!  How rude!!  So...my time is even better considering it was more uphill than my first race.

It is funny how it takes time to figure out how to race.  Your times will improveeven if you don't get more fit.  My secret is to go out faster than is comfortable and try to hang on for a 5K.  I have also noticed that hills get bigger when you are not looking at them through glass.  Congrats on another finish.

Way to go!!!  Don't you hate that ... trying to figure out what to do with your vest when you get too hot?  I gave up on vests and just wear an extra layer of shirt or a thin jacket that I can tie around my waist when I take it off.  It's just easier that way!

Great job!

I guess it's good that clothing is my biggest problem when running!!
