Any tips anyone?  I do a lot of crunches but that seems to target my mid and upper abdominal area.. I also do side crunches which focuses on the obliques.. what do u recommend for the lower abdomen?  I have done the crunches where you bring  your lower half up as you crunch and I can sorta feel it lower, anything else?  Thanks so much!

Okay, lets see if I can put something very visual into words.   My trainer has me do a variety of ab work doing crunches in a way I was not used to but there is a variation that may be what you are looking for.  This is the only time my trainer lets me put my hands behind my head and it is for support not lifting.  Put your hands behind your neck and keep your elbows pointed out and never up.   Inhale.  Tighten abs.  Exhale.  Without using your hands, crunch up as you stick your foot out.  Alternate legs with each crunch.  Don't put your foot high in the air, put it straight out but off the ground. That always makes me feel it in my lower abs which have moved up drastically in the last month. Good luck. Katy
