sort of OT-- sort of NOT-- baseball with little ones?
My husband and I have been blessed with 3 little foster sons who are now 3, 2 and 10 months. The toddler boys love to play ball-- baseball, basketball, football. Since I have lost a great deal of weight, the whole family is getting more active and doing more outdoor sports. Last night we were throwing the ball-- a softer version of the baseball -- to the kids. My 3 year old seems to have a pretty good arm for a 3 year old. My two adopted girls, age 10 and 8, bless their hearts, well, they catch like girls. They were older when we adopted them, so I think they never played much outdoors. In fact, before we got them, they really never played outside much at all. Is there a book or instructional guide out there that can help us parents teach the kids the pointers and tips for baseball? My husband never had a dad growing up, and I never wanted to exercise when I was younger, so we kind of missed out on all that when we were younger.
Just search "baseball instructional video" or "baseball instructional book" on google and you get a ton of choices. I think Reggie Jackson had some good tapes he was selling on TV too. Personally, I like to watch a instructional videos because they show things like timing you can't pick up in a book.
