CURVES

I am 16 months post op,  and went down from 230 to 120 and feel gr8. I excersise mostly every day, I say mostly as I have decided to take sundays off. Anyway, I started out going to the gym for a while but didnt like it. So I recently joined a women's fitness center called slim and tone. It's very similar to curves, but it has added excersising equiptment - treadmill, eliptical machine, bike, free weights etc. and I have found this place to be the right thing for me. They even offer yoga and pilates (I tried the pilates and hated it). Contrary to what my nutritionist told me about hydrolic machines not being beneficial for bypass patients, it works for me. I only just joined a month ago so i can't say that my muscle tone is built up yet, but I am working on it. I go to the club 3 days a week and start out on the treadmill, and on the other days I walk outside, if I miss a day of going I will still do my morning walk. I think we all need to find what really works for us, The women I work out with are very nice and we chat while working out and that passes the time nicely. When I had my assessment there it was weird to tell them that I wasnt there to lose weight, but just to tone up!! NEVER IN MY PREVIOUS LIFE WAS I ABLE TO SAY THAT!! HAPPY EXCERSISING EVERYONE!!
