My problem with music

I can have more dumb problems. I like to listen to music when I'm on my treadmill or walking outside. I bought an MP3 player that came with these little ear buds, and the dang things wouldn't stay in my ears. I got some headphones but they kept sliding off my head. I have a portable CD player that I use on my treadmill, but half the time it won't play. And my headphones will be sliding off my head anyway. I've got this assortment of wires and listening devices and I can't get it right. Am I the only one in the world with this problem? Am I put together weird? What do y'all use? I thought about getting an IPOD (not even real sure what it is, but I can probably figure out how to use it), but wouldn't that come with those $%*& ear bud things that would fall out of my ears? Is there a web site that sells things like that for exercising people?

You're right, Wanda, IPods come with the same little earbuds.  I love my IPod shuffle, but I do have problems with the earbuds, too.  Apparently my ear holes are smallish, so they feel too big, and the left earbud wants to pop out, and the right one just hurts my ear.   I love my music, though, so I use them anyway.  My Aunt went to Circuit City, where she bought her IPod Nano, and they had a variety of different ear things.  She found some that wrap around your ear, they don't go down in your ear, and they don't come off as easily.  Here's a link to some like hers:  http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw/102-3195578-2295360?url =search-alias%3Delectronics&field-keywords=ear+buds&Go.x=5&G o.y=9 Number nine and number twelve are similar to hers.  Hope that helps you out!  Got to have that music!  Steph

Wanda, I know what you mean about the earbuds. I actually got a blister from my iPod earbuds. So, I went to the nearby Target and got a pair of Sony MDR-Q66 stereo headphones. They are actual headphones that have these little clips you slide behind your ear. The cords are all retractable, so it's great for taking with you; no cords to get all tangled in your bag. Bonus: They sound awesome! http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDR-Q66LW-w-ear-Stereo-Headphones /dp/B0007N55NC Found a pair on Amazon so you can check them out.  Cy

I use the kind of ear plugs that insert into the ear canal.  The outter covering of the ear plug is spongy, like the type of ear plugs that you roll with your fingers to insert into the ear canal.  They seem to stay put just fine, and are very comfortable.  And don't be intimidated by the iPod.  If I can use one, anyone can! Thanks to all of you for your replies. I think I'll be getting an IPOD for my anniversary. And I did get some of those headphones with the things that wrap around the outside of your ears. It's taking practice, but they seem to be staying on OK.
